# On-Prem DRAGEN Server Analysis

This page describes details on running Illumina TruPath Genome analysis on prem via DRAGEN Server.

Running DRAGEN Germline in proximity mode for use with the Illumina TruPath Genome workflow via local on prem server will require a v4 server with upgraded compute support. For more information on v4 servers, please visit this link: [DRAGEN secondary analysis on-premises server](https://www.illumina.com/products/by-type/informatics-products/dragen-secondary-analysis/server.html)

A sample sheet is required for on-prem analysis with BCL Convert. A sample sheet is a comma-separated value (\*.csv) file format used by Illumina instruments, platforms, and analysis pipelines to store settings and data for sequencing and analysis. DRAGEN Germline is compatible with the sample sheet v2. For general information on the sample sheet v2 format, refer to [Illumina BioInsight Platform - Sample Sheet](https://help.connected.illumina.com/run-set-up/overview).

The sample sheet is only required for BCL Convert when using on prem server.

* BCL Convert is compatible with sample sheet v2.
* The sample sheet includes a list of samples, along with additional information required to run BCL Convert. When running analysis on a standalone DRAGEN server or on Platform Core, a valid sample sheet can be created by:
  * BaseSpace Run Planner (preferred), see [Sample Sheet Creation in BaseSpace Run Planner page](https://help.connected.illumina.com/tso500/dragen-tso-500-guides/dragen-tso-500-v2.6/run-planning/sample-sheet-creation-in-basespace-run-planning-tool) for details, and refer to the [BSSH Run Planning](/illumina-trupath-genome/instrument-sequencing-and-run-setup/novaseq-x-run-planning-dragen-germline.md) link to download a sample sheet for on-prem analysis.
  * Downloading and modifying a sample sheet template following the requirements, see [Sample Sheet Requirements page](https://help.connected.illumina.com/tso500/dragen-tso-500-guides/dragen-tso-500-v2.6/run-planning/sample-sheet-requirements) for details

{% hint style="info" %}
The sample sheet for Planned runs can be downloaded by selecting the planned run and **File** -> **Download** -> **SampleSheet**.<br>
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.bioinsight.illumina.com/illumina-trupath-genome/run-analysis-setup/on-prem-dragen-server-analysis.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
