# Curate Variant page

The **Curate Variant page** presents curated variant information. Use it to review and manage variant curation.

The arrow button at the top left of the page toggles between the maximized and reduced views of the **Curate Variant page**.

**Curate Variant page** includes:

* [**Header**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/top-bar.md): Provides the main identifying details of the variant and its current classification.
* **Cards**:
  * [**Interpretation card**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/interpretation-card.md): Displays and allows editing of curated interpretation text and notes.
  * [**Gene-related diseases card**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/gene-related-diseases-card.md): Shows diseases associated with the variant's gene and allows selection of the relevant condition.
  * [**Variant information card**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/variant-information-card.md): Presents detailed variant information, including type, transcript, and variant effect.
  * [**ACMG classification card**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/acmg-classification-card.md): Supports applying and managing ACMG classification for the variant.
  * [**Related cases card**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/related-cases-card.md): Shows organization cases containing the variant or overlapping CNVs.
  * [**Network summary card**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/network-summary-card.md): Shows variant occurrences and interpretations from your network collaborators.
* [**Activities panel**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/activities-panel.md): Provides a history of actions performed on the variant.

**Network-only variants** are shared by collaborators but not stored in your organization’s **Curate** database. Their page shows only the [**Network summary card**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page/network-summary-card.md) until you import the variant.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.bioinsight.illumina.com/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
