# Population data tracks

These [visualization tracks](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/variant-visualization/variant-visualization-tool/visualization-tracks.md) help you compare case findings against internal and public population data.

## Organization databases

Each [organization database](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/settings/organization_settings_-330+/workbench-and-pipeline/organization-db-management/organization-databases.md) has its own track. The track name is the name of that database.

Select a variant to review variant details from the database:

* Allele frequency
* Allele count and allele number
* Heterozygote and homozygote or hemizygote counts
* Sample IDs where the variant was last observed

## gnomAD SV

The **gnomAD SV** track displays deletions (DEL), duplications (DUP), and insertions (INS) from gnomAD.

From v100.41 onwards, for GRCh38 cases, the track also includes complex structural variants (CPX) and inversions (INV) from [gnomAD SV v4.1](https://gnomad.broadinstitute.org/news/2023-11-v4-structural-variants/).

Use the track to review population frequency and distribution across diverse cohorts in gnomAD.

## DGV Gold

The **DGV Gold** track displays high-confidence structural variants curated by the Database of Genomic Variants.

Use it as a reference for common benign structural variants.

## Decipher Population

The **Decipher Population** track displays variants observed in unaffected individuals from DECIPHER (Database of Chromosomal Imbalance and Phenotype in Humans using Ensembl Resources).

Use it to compare case findings with DECIPHER population data from unaffected individuals.

For DECIPHER data from affected individuals, see the **Decipher Known Variants** track in [Knowledge base tracks](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/variant-visualization/variant-visualization-tool/visualization-tracks/knowledge-base-tracks.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.bioinsight.illumina.com/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/variant-visualization/variant-visualization-tool/visualization-tracks/population-data-tracks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
