# About DRAGEN somatic for IDT Custom Panels

DRAGEN somatic for IDT custom panels v4.5.4 is a cloud-based bioinformatics solution for somatic sequencing data. It analyzes data generated with IDT's xGen cfDNA and FFPE library prep kit.

The pipeline is pre-optimized for this IDT library chemistry, so you do not need to tune parameters manually. It accepts your custom panel BED file as input and runs end-to-end on BioInsight Platform Core (Platform Core) or BaseSpace Sequence Hub (BSSH).

## Supported Biomarkers

This release (Powered by DRAGEN v4.5.4) supports the following DNA biomarkers:

* Single nucleotide variants (SNVs)
* Insertions and deletions (indels)
* Tumor mutational burden (TMB)

{% hint style="info" %}
**Current scope.** This release is optimized for DNA extracted from tumor tissue (FFPE or fresh/frozen samples) in tumor-only mode from the Run Planner interface and the DRAGEN for IDT Custom Panels app interface (BSSH or Platform Core). Tumor-normal is available from the DRAGEN for IDT Custom Panels app (BSSH/Platform Core) only.
{% endhint %}

## Supported reference genomes

* hg38 v6
* hg38 v6 with pangenome
* hg19 v6
* hg19 v6 with pangenome

## Supported Analysis Modes

This release (v4.5.4) supports the following analysis modes in both Tumor-Normal (T/N) and Tumor-Only (T/O) modes:

* UMI workflow
* Non-UMI workflow
* Low-quality FFPE mode

## Sequencer compatibility

This solution can be used with any of Illumina's sequencers. For specifics about how to set up Run Planner with a particular sequencer, please refer to its documentation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.bioinsight.illumina.com/dragen-somatic-for-idt-custom-panels/get-started/about.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
