# Platform Core Home

The **Platform Core Home** page is the starting point for working in the Platform Core web interface. From Home, you can access projects and shared resources, review platform activity, and configure system-level settings.

Use the navigation menu on the left to move between the main areas of Platform Core:

* [**Projects**](/connected-analytics/web-ui-access/h-projects.md) — View and access the projects available to you. Projects provide workspaces for organizing data and performing analyses. Select a project to open its project workspace and access project-specific features.
* [**Reference data**](/connected-analytics/project-web-ui/p-flow/f-referencedata.md) — View reference genome sets used to compare and identify deviations in your data.
* [**Bundles**](/connected-analytics/web-ui-access/h-bundles.md) — View and manage curated packages of assets, such as sample data, pipelines, tools, and templates. Bundles can be provided by Illumina or other providers, or created by users.
* **Audit log** — Review records of user and system actions for auditing and traceability.
* [**Event log**](/connected-analytics/web-ui-access/h-eventlog.md) — Review Platform Core events for monitoring activity and troubleshooting.
* **System settings** — Configure platform-level resources and settings, including notifications, metadata models, Docker and tool repositories, credentials, and storage.

The **Projects** page is displayed when you open Platform Core. Use the controls above the project list to search and filter projects, show hidden or favorite projects, select a workgroup, or change the display between grid and list views.

* On the **left**, you have the **navigation bar** (1) which will auto-collapse on smaller screens. To collapse it, use the **double arrow symbol** (2). When collapsed, use the >> symbol to expand it.
* The **central** **part** (3) of the display is the item on which you are **performing your actions** and the **breadcrumb** **menu** (4) to return to the projects overview or a previous level. You can also use your browser's back button to return to the level from which you came.
* At the top **right**, you have icons to **refresh contents** (5) I**llumina product access** (6), access to the **online help** (7) and **user** **information** (8).

* When **left clicking**, the popup will let you refresh the screen or go back to the previous screen.

Select a project name to open the project. The navigation menu changes to display the data, analysis, and configuration options for the selected project. For more information, see [Projects](/connected-analytics/web-ui-access/h-projects.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.bioinsight.illumina.com/connected-analytics/web-ui-access/platform-core-home.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
