# 7.44.0 - Interop Library Upgrades

#### March 17, 2026

#### Features

* An interop library upgrade adds charting and sequencing statistics support for new flow cell types.
  * The upgrade will introduce changes to the QMetricsByLaneOut.bin file format. The QMetricsByLaneOut.bin file will now be created in the InterOpBaseSpace folder within the run folder. See this [February 2026 release notification](/basespace/releases/notifications.md#february-2026) for more information.
* Updated Run Planning to always display OverrideCycles field regardless of instrument platform, if it is supported by the selected Application.
* Added %Demux in per lane run metrics for instruments that support it (currently MiSeq i100).
* Added support for planned Microarray analyses. Configure analyses ahead of time and have them automatically launch when all required sample data is available, enabling faster and more efficient analysis workflows.
* Moved "Start an analysis" action to Microarray Data Management page.
* Added "Start another analysis" option when launching Microarray Analysis.

#### Bugs Fixed

* Fixed an issue mapping biosamples to lanes for NovaSeqX runs, which could cause biosamples to unexpectedly show as being in all lanes.
* Fixed a bug that prevented uploading block-gzipped VCF files using the UI.
* Only FASTQ generation launched by a sequencing run's owner may update the run's index metrics.
* Users without an active subscription, and who have exceeded the 1 TB storage limit, cannot accept transfers of runs or projects to their account.
* Downloader 3.3: improved error messaging when the user provides an incorrectly formatted or unsupported type of output folder.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.bioinsight.illumina.com/basespace/releases/previous-releases/2026/7.44.0.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
